Scholarship Description: Call for Presentations Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at the University of Sydney is calling for expressions of interest from potential PhD candidates, to apply for a PhD scholarship to study in a new research project: "Canopy architecture contrasting wheat lines? On genes 'tin': a trait to increase yield under drought "This project is part of the Grains Research & Development Corporation (GRDC) funded Managed Environment Facility (MEFs) initiative, a pre-breeding research program aimed at increasing the level of genetic gain in winter cereal grown under limited water conditions in the contrasting environments of the Australian wheat belt. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com

Students will learn to use modeling software, and to develop a set of data for modeling purposes. Field experiments will be conducted in rural NSW, and in the greenhouse in the Sydney area. Experimental work will inform the design of simulation scenarios.Call for Presentations Participants will explore the physiological characteristics and architectures for their role and benefit in improving adaptation of Australia's most important cereal crop, wheat, the growth condition of limited water.

Master’s Scholarships at Swansea University


Agriculture Scholarships Applicants must hold an offer to study a Masters or MRes taught at the University of Swansea from September 2011. Only the UK or EU candidates are eligible to register. Students usually must be privately funded and must enroll in an eligible postgraduate course at Swansea University for the first time in September 201

Open Scholarship for International Students: None

Agriculture Scholarships Description: Swansea University has 80 Master's Scholarships worth £ 2.700 towards the cost of which is available for students enrolling in the Master Taught or MRes program in September 2011. Currently we have 80 scholarships available for taught Master's or MRes students enrolling in September 2011. This Agriculture Scholarships is open to applicants for Master's programs across the entire University and are offered by each School or College.
